Terms and conditions for the learning materials of the JA Company Program

JA Finland (hereinafter the Service Provider) produces and maintains the JA Company Program and the digital learning materials related to it. In addition, the Service Provider produces printed materials, such as guides and templates.

Within these terms and conditions, Service refers to the online services provided by the Service Provider and the related learning materials. The Service is available through a website at vuosiyrittajana.fi. These terms and conditions are applied to the use of the Service.

Use of the learning materials and copyright

The Service and the related learning materials are protected by copyright. The materials in the Service may also include trademarks protected by law. The ownership of the Service including copyright and other immaterial rights is retained by the Service Provider.

The user does not acquire any rights related to the Service, except the right to use the Service in accordance with these terms and conditions. The user must register to use the Service. After registration, these terms and conditions shall be binding on the user and the educational institution represented by the user. The Service cannot be used without accepting the terms and conditions.

The Service is intended only for:

  • teaching use; or
  • the user’s personal use.

The user shall have the right save digital learning material from the Service to their computer or the internal network of their school, or to print materials only for purposes required by teaching or personal use. The Service may only be displayed and presented or otherwise made available to an audience within the scope of teaching activities. Producing copies of the Service and using it for other purposes, and in other contexts than those provided by these terms and conditions and handing over learning materials to third parties is prohibited under the Finnish Copyright Act.

The contents of the Service may be quoted as permitted by the Copyright Act. In quoting the contents of the Service, the User is obligated to specify the source in accordance with fair practice.

Responsibilities of the user

The user is liable in the full amount for any damages caused to the Service Provider or a third party for use of the Service contrary to these terms and conditions, legislation or executive regulations or accepted principles of morality by the user.

Responsibilities of the Service Provider

The Service Provider aims to ensure that the service it provides meets the requirements of the curriculums and qualification requirements effective at the time. The Service Provider shall not be liable for ensuring the suitability of the materials for any specific purpose. The Service is provided as published, without any guarantees. The Service Provider shall not be liable to the user or a third party for any errors or deficiencies potentially contained in the materials, or the accuracy of the contained information and any direct or indirect damage caused by use or interpretation of the information.

The Service Provider shall not be liable for potential outages in the Service due to maintenance, technical faults or other similar reasons, or potential outages in data connections or the Internet. The Service Provider shall not be liable for any damages that might be caused by the operation of the Service or its failure to operate.

The Service Provider shall not be liable for the contents, materials, and services of such third-party websites, to which a link is included on the Service Provider’s website.

Amendments or withdrawal from publication

The Service Provider shall have the right to amend these terms and conditions. The effective terms and conditions are available on the Service Provider’s website. The users must accept the new terms and conditions to continue using the Service. By using the Service, the user accepts the new terms and conditions.

The Service Provider shall have the right to amend the contents of the Service or its operation, and the right to cease providing the Service at any time.
